Contents of this guide

Other disability law guides

This guide is intended to help those who represent clients with disabilities. It touches on several important federal laws protecting the rights of the disabled, including the Americans with Disabilities Act, as well as Social Security claims.

This guide will also help you find background medical information about disabilities and give you the names of a few disability advocacy groups.

If you need additional assistance with research projects please contact the Reference Desk at 312-906-5670, via email at, or via the chat box on this page.
